Eve though we had just dropped Callum off at University for the start of his second year, we were back the following weekend as it was his birthday. We brought Kian along with us so he could catch up as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve yet to find a good car park in the town (all very narrow entrances and ramps, barely wide enough to fit Jon’s car through!) so we left the car at the Racecourse Park and Ride and caught the bus into town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a little time before our booking so we headed to the Brewery Quarter and the Brewhouse and Kitchen<\/a><\/strong> for a drink. The food here is really good and somewhere we tend to default to if we can’t decide where to go.<\/p>\n\n\n

One place we’d been wanting to try since Callum started university was The Beefy Boys<\/a><\/strong> restaurant. When we’ve walked past previously, the queues were out the door so they must be doing something right. So we didn’t have to wait, Callum booked us a table.<\/p>\n\n\n

If you don’t like burgers, this is not the place for you! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admittedly, it was a tough decision on which burger to choose. We all ruled out the Hellboy 2.0 (with an off-the-chart chilli count!).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the end, I settled for a Jurassic Classic (with a fried egg!), Callum the Bacon Boy, Jon the Beefy Boy and Kian the Chicken Boy. We ordered sides of truffle fries and Bacon Fries (delicious!). The lads went for milkshakes and they were the nicest they’ve ever tasted. Callum gave the thumbs up to The Salted Caramel shake and Kian the Strawberry.<\/p>\n\n\n
