We had the little notice on our bed last night … the clocks go forward by one hour tonight. Just seems a little odd that we\u2019ve two days of the cruise left and this is the first time we have to move our clocks forward an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We decided to let Callum have a bit of a lie in this morning and he slept until 9am. We pulled back the curtains and the weather was obviously preparing us for home \u2013 cloud and rain. We also were moored in front of another ship (only the second cruise ship we\u2019ve seen all holiday!). This one was rather special (although she didn\u2019t look like it). It was \u201cThe World\u201d \u2013 the residence cruise ship for the uber rich! It costs about $600,000 to buy an apartment PLUS $20,000 per month in maintenance, fuel etc. However, all the balconies along the side were double if not triple width and only four at the front (one complete with hot tub on the balcony!). I was expecting her to bigger though … but she was much smaller than Aurora.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had to brave breakfast in the buffet as we were too late for the Main Dining Room. We got our food and found a table without too much difficulty (although all the buffet restaurants were very busy). When we left though, the queues for the buffet breakfast were back to the entrance of the restaurant … just as well breakfast was served until 12 noon!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We left going ashore for a bit as it was raining quite heavy but eventually decided to dodge a shower or two and explore. The first part we hit was Oyster Alley \u2013 the really touristy bit where they \u201cshuck\u201d the oysters and serve them. We just wandered around a bit \u2013 some lovely buildings but as it was quite a small town there wasn\u2019t an awful lot to see. With the rain starting again, we heading back via the shopping centre right next to the docks. There was a huge toy shop there … but nothing in there that Callum liked the look of!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back on board and back to the Main Dining Room for lunch. Callum was given a kids menu and decided to go for chicken, veg and chips … only to be told when our meals arrived, his meal would take another 15-20 minutes as it had to be cooked to order. It would have been helpful to be told this at the start so we ordered the cold meat and salad for him off our menu which he did enjoy (and eat pretty much the lot!). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Great British Sailaway was cancelled\/postponed due to the rain (although don\u2019t think the clientele on The World would have appreciated it). Callum wanted to go to Frontiers, so Jon and I headed up to the Planet Bar for sailaway. It was surprisingly quiet. We picked our spot which we thought would be good to see Vigo and The World. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The World threw off her lines first and started to move off the dock. Then, about ten people started to stroll up on the dock and the next thing we knew is that the ropes from The World were being thrown back to the dock and she was mooring up again. Gangway was lowered and the people on the dock let on board. Guess no-one (or their guests) will be left behind if you\u2019re on The World!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No such luck if you were on Azura \u2013 we pushed away and we spun once more through 180 degrees and made our way towards the Bay of Biscay and home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was Kids Tea with Noddy and Mr Bump tonight which proved to be a big hit with kids young and old. The Frontier boys were having a Camp Night tonight … due to the rain, it couldn\u2019t be done in the Sports Nets or the area outside of Frontiers as it was wet. They set up camp in Frontiers instead and had a great time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon and I meanwhile made the most of our last meal in Sindhu … it was our turn to stalk \u201cher from Corrie\u201d … she was at her usual table in the corner when we arrived. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I couldn\u2019t resist on ordering my usual Chicken Tikka starter and Jon opted for the Beef Skewers. Main course Jon stuck with the lobster and I decided to switch to the sea bass and a fab choice \u2013 think it was nicer than the lobster. We had a pre-starter of mushroom soup and a sorbet of strawberry, raspberry and coconut before pudding. Jon went for the 5 spice chocolate fondant pudding (very melting!) and I had the pannacotta which was delicious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back up to Kids Club to collect Callum \u2013 he didn\u2019t like the film that was being shown \u2013 Megamind – so was really pleased to see us!\n\n<\/p>\n
