We didn&#8217;t realise, but it was right next door to the restaurant we ate in on Tuesday night with Jim!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-2 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 class=\"wp-image-5531\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>One final wander across to Wencelas Square so we could say we&#8217;d seen it &#8211; lots of shops and big hotels lined the square and busy with traffic so no where near as picturesque as the Old Town Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2019-Oct-31-41-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5537\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We then wandered around the lanes to get back to the Old Town Square.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" We settled on eating in the restaurant opposite the clock and had a table overlooking the clock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-1 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\"><ul class=\"blocks-gallery-grid\"><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2019-Oct-31-50-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"5535\" data-full-url=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2019-Oct-31-50-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/?attachment_id=5535\" class=\"wp-image-5535\"\/><\/figure><\/li><li class=\"blocks-gallery-item\"><figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2019-Oct-31-49-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" data-id=\"5534\" data-full-url=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2019-Oct-31-49-scaled.jpg\" data-link=\"http:\/\/www.karenandjon.co.uk\/blog\/?attachment_id=5534\" class=\"wp-image-5534\"\/><\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Total anticlimax as very little happened &#8230; but at least Callum could say he saw it!  Food and service was a little disappointing &#8211; they don&#8217;t really need to try as you&#8217;re in prime position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Time to head back to the hotel.  Taxi picked us up from hotel a little after 3.30pm.\u00a0 Traffic was jammed trying to get out of the city so the taxi driver weaved his way through some really lovely residential areas.\u00a0 Very nice houses!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>We made it to the airport about 4.15pm and had to hang around until 4.35pm to drop the suitcases off.\u00a0 We opted to check in our cases as we were expecting the plane to be full &#8230; and it was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Suitcases whisked off and off through security. \u00a0Slight delay with both\u00a0Jon and I needing further checks and a pat down.\u00a0 For me it was my boots that also\u00a0needed a further x-ray!\u00a0 Duty free and we bought the obligatory Mozart balls and some Lindt chocolate for Callum.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the incoming BA flight not arriving and disembarking until 45 mins before we were due to take off, we were expecting a delay but the ground staff turned everything around\u00a0very quickly.\u00a0 Boarding started and we pushed back bang on time.\u00a0 The usual circling around London before landing and pulling into our gate at 7.50pm.\u00a0 Bit of a trek to passport control and the automated gates.\u00a0 Passport on the scan plate, look at the screen and fingers crossed you&#8217;ll be allowed back into the UK.\u00a0 Thankfully it all worked &#8230; even for Callum!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luggage was on the carousel as we approached then off to find the bus pick up to take us back to Long Stay car park.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roads clear and back hone for 9.50pm.\u00a0 Great city break and we all had a great time and
