So, I’ve been an Arsenal fan since I was 6 years old … I never made it to Highbury. My very first Arsenal Home Game and I would be sitting in the away end with a bunch of Newcastle fans. And yes, I am (thanks to hubby!), a NUFC member (have never been a member of Arsenal).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why Arsenal?? When I was six, my Dad and brother were ardent Man Utd fans but I didn’t want to follow in their shoes. I chose another team that were doing OK at the time and followed them ever since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, I’ve followed Reading (our local team) and also semi-followed Barrow AFC – my home town. Just love to see both of them do well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jon is a life-long Newcastle fan so I’ve kind of adopted them as my home team (he treats me to Newcastle Membership each year so we can try to go to matches!) … and Callum didn’t have any choice in the matter. No complaints though!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We’ve been up to St James Park a couple of times, but are slowly working our way around the southern away match venues. Better value going as an away fan than as a home fan by all accounts. \u00a330 for an adult away ticket vs silly money for a home ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were lucky enough to get tickets for the Arsenal match – I’d never made it to Highbury so was really looking forward to this visit. Would need to practise my game face if Arsenal scored.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
