A day out with friends today and the boys decided they wanted to do a Treasure Trail. We gave the choice of location to Callum’s friends and they opted to do the new trail in Reading – Reading Abbey and Forbury Gardens<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The trail started at the gates to Forbury Gardens and winded along to Reading Abbey itself. Several clues to solve here before ending up back in Forbury Gardens to solve the remaining clues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Around the abbey there were numerous information boards so you had to read the information to solve the clues. It’s steeped in history!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One clue was inaccessible as the Lion Statue was undergoing conservation work … a search on the internet and we eventually found the answer!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had been into Reading so many times in the past and it’s only since lockdown we realised the Abbey was here. This was our third visit and an sure it won’t be the last.<\/p>\n
