Callum was so excited. A trip up North to see grandparents and also to see his first ever Newcastle match as they took on Ipswich. He’d been to St James Park before – to watch Honduras take on Brazil in the Olympics back in 2012. But this was different. This was Newcastle!
Tickets booked – Grandad was coming along with us too. We caught the Metro into town then headed into the City Centre. Lunch was a sandwich from Greggs (when in Newcastle, where else!!) then headed into St James Park. We had time to look around outside before heading in and Callum was desperate to buy a new Newcastle kit with the money he’d been saving!
We were in the posher seats – with access to a lounge area before, after and during the match.

Good seats, but the only downside is that we were in the aisle so people kept wandering past. Not a problem before and after play started, but proved annoying when you were trying to watch the match. Often it was the same people diving out several times in one half?!?!
Great match which Newcastle won 3-0 … fingers crossed they would get promotion automatically back to the Premiership.
