London – The Potion Room

Read Time:1 Minute, 4 Second

Final morning in London and one last treat for the weekend. This one we’d been keeping secret from Callum.

This was afternoon tea with a difference at The Potion Room at Cutter & Squidge. We had booked the 12 noon sitting so this would also be our lunch. We were a little early so Jon and I had a raspberry prosecco whilst Callum had a chocolate milkshake.

Within no time, we had donned our capes and headed downstairs into the Potion Room. It was really well decorated and very Harry-Potteresque.

Wands at the ready, the first task was to mix a drink, then concoct a meringue fruity thing with popping candy.

Some fruity tea (proper tea – the type you need to strain) was served and the afternoon tea spread was served in birdcage styled cake-stands and all incredibly delicious if not a little filling.

As this that wasn’t enough, they came around with Rock Cakes (thankfully packed so you could take them away) and then a sweet trolley where you could trade in your coins for doing well in potions class for other delicious sweet treats to take home!

A fabulous treat to end our mini break in London. If you go to the Potion Room, we recommend you go hungry!
