Callum’s first real go at Indoor Climbing. Explorers had booked a session at the newly opened Rockstar Climbing Centre in Swindon. We’d never set foot into a Climbing Centre before, but this one looked impressive. We were quite intrigued when we arrived as there was a Ninja Warrior Training Centre next door … I think the boys were hoping they could switch!
The Explorers leader really rated this centre and Callum and friend, Kian, were up for a challenge. It started with Kian having a 15kg weight added onto his belt so he didn’t go flying into the air when Callum needed to come down!
The boys enjoyed it even though they didn’t spend a huge amount of time on the walls. Now that they’ve grasped the basics and learnt a new knot or two, if they went back again, they would have more time.
