Birthday treat for Callum – we had read really good reviews of The Play That Goes Wrong so decided we would take Callum as a treat for his birthday.

We caught the train into London and took the opportunity to have a wander around. We started at Trafalgar Square and headed up to Covent Garden.

Callum spotted the M&M store and wanted to treat himself – we couldn’t deny the birthday boy! He was very restrained.

If you go to see this play, you do need to get to your seats a little ahead of the actual start time – there’s some action before the play actually starts.

Safe to say we haven’t laughed this much for a long time – and it’s well worth seeing. How they actually did half of what they did we haven’t a clue.

Alas, no Tom Cruise in this afternoon’s performance – may be next time.

We tried to grab a bite to eat before heading home, but all our usual venues in Covent Garden were fully booked with reservations. In the end we found a little Thai Restaurant called Thai Pot just around the corner from Covent Garden. Nothing fancy but very reasonably priced and really good food.
