Fathers Day Treat for Jon – he’s wanted to see the Pet Shop Boys in concert for a long time and when they announced they were touring the UK, Jon booked tickets pretty pronto. They were playing at Wembley Arena.

We didn’t want to travel into Central London to head out to Wembley so we parked the car at High Wycombe to catch the train straight to Wembley. Before heading off, we found the local Wetherspoons to grab a bite to eat (Dan would have approved).
The train to Wembley was very straightforward. It quickly became apparent that the Pet Shop Boys weren’t the only band to be playing Wembley tonight. With all the feather boas and glitter, it soon became apparent that Harry Styles was playing Wembley … getting home could be interesting!
We had a little time to wander around before we made our way in. This was Callum’s first concert!
The Pet Shop Boys were just awesome – one of the better concerts we’d been to. The staging and backdrops were brilliant – they played all the classics and everyone was signing and dancing along with them. Neil and Chris must have been sweating buckets – it was a really hot day and they were wearing clothes suitable for winter. Their weird and wonderful headgear also featured at regular intervals.
Luckily for us, the PSBs concert finished as Harry Styles was playing his encores so we got to the station with ease. Straight onto the platform and just waited for the next train. Very lucky as it had just started to rain!
