Time for a special treat for Granny and I – because it’s Mothering Sunday. We’d only told Granny we were taking her out for the day and for something to eat, but hadn’t told her where. Our fingers were crossed she’d like the surprise!!
We were heading to Marlow to treat Mum (and I!) to a meal at Atul Kochhar’s restaurant, Sindhu. We’d introduced Mum to Sindhu onboard Aurora back in 2017. She loved it. She’s since introduced her cruising partner, Ann to the restaurant and it’s now a must-go-to on their cruises. At least one visit per cruise!!
We were pulling into the car park when Mum read the hotel sign and commented, “Oh it says there’s a Sindhu here. Is that where we’re going?”
She was really pleased with our choice of restaurant.

We were a little early so we sat in one of the bars and had something to drink while we waited for our table to become available. It was busy in the restaurant with most tables full or reserved.

We were all pretty full after the meal, so we wandered over the bridge into the town. There was a food market in full swing – not that we were hungry! We bought a loaf of artisan sourdough (bread and cheese was on table for this evening!) but there was a really good selection of food we must plan to head back sometime.
Brownie points earnt with Mum … hopefully that’s her Sindhu fix sorted until her next cruise!
