Back down to Southampton today to try and see some more of the Zany Zebra trail with friends. We were going to try and see some of the Zebras we missed, and revisit a couple of favourites.
The two zebras Callum really wanted to see again were “Gilbert” and the tribute to David Bowie “Ziggy Zebra all at Zee”. We had time this time to just appreciate the artistry and detail that had been put into the design.
We could have spent ages looking at the details on “Gilbert” and still not have seen everything.
We revisited some of the other zebras we’d seen as well.
I won’t mention where we ate lunch … and Callum and our two friends all ate the same for lunch … and all three started being ill in the early hours of Sunday morning. Suffice to say, we will never set foot in this chain of restaurants again.
However, we did make a great discovery of an ice cream parlour, Sprinkles. A massive choice of ice creams served in cones, on waffles or as sundaes. OMG – they were awesome!
Just got to wait now until the kids go back to school and will head back to Southampton to see the Zebras in Ocean Village and also the ones “that are at the Vets”!
