Barton Grange

For the last couple of years, Mum has mentioned about the amazing Christmas displays the Barton Grange Garden Centre has. I was taking Mum up to Barrow so she could drop-off presents and see family and friends before Christmas so we set off a little earlier so we could stop en-route.

In theory, just a short detour off the M6 at Preston … following the A6 running parallel to the motorway.

Hands down, it was THE best Christmas display I’ve seen. The time needed to set everything up would be lengthy. So creative and you can see why coach tours are arranged from all over the north to see the display and get into the Christmas spirit. Not sure any of the displays would make it into your house as very elaborate.

Mum topped up with Christmas decs and new pieces for her Lemax Christmas display, we headed off to continue up to Barrow.

“Just keep going up the A6 … don’t join the M6 here!”, Mum said. Alas, this decision took us up through Lancaster where the traffic ground to a halt. It probably added another 90 minutes to the journey north!
