Weather: Foggy on the approach into Copenhagen – sunny at other times.
Sea: Calm
A leisurely start to the day. We were at sea in the morning and due to arrive in Copenhagen just after lunch. No surprise in what we did this morning – breakfast – coffee and Carcassonne!
We were up on deck as we arrived into port. A little eerie as the fog was settled on the water and you could only see the tops of the yachts. Entering the harbour, we sailed past one of the Disney Ships – they were berthed on the outskirts of the docks. We were docking much closer and on the route of the HOHO bus.
We decided to stay onboard to do the Syndicate Quiz and then head off to explore Tivoli. Lee was running the quiz and he seemed to be making up for the shortage of questions on the previous couple of days as he lost count so ended up with 21 questions. It didn’t help us – 13/21 was not our best performance!
Route planned and we were told Tivoli was an hours walk away. More like two but we did stop for photos en route. This visit we managed to see The Little Mermaid statue.
Our route took us past Nyhavn – the plan was to come back here tomorrow on the HOHO bus!
Frustrating we arrived at Tivoli – but it was the exit (no entry) so we had to follow the fencing for another mile until we hit the entrance. Made it! The plan was to see the park at night with all the lights. That was still a couple of hours away!
We weren’t walking back to the ship so we grabbed a taxi. As we were in port overnight, you could return at any time. It was pretty quiet when we got back – and took the opportunity to get some night-time photos of Britannia.
Once onboard, Callum made a bee-line for the buffet – after all, it was a couple of hours since he had last eaten.
