Pat and Mark were down and keen to put their skills to the test with another Escape Room. Rather than take them back to Reading again, we thought we’d take them somewhere new and decided to head to Oxford. There was a Doctor Who Dalek Escape Room that Pat rather fancied!
We’d opted to do the Park n Ride and once we’d worked out how the payment machines actually worked and which took cards(!) and could pay for additional passengers, we headed into the city.
There was time before the Escape Room to show them some of the city and the weather was on our side for Oxford to be looking its best.
The Escape Room was one of the more complex rooms we’d tackled with some rather challenging puzzles. We did take the “auto-pilot” on one of the puzzles but managed to escape the Dalek’s clutches with seconds to spare.

Now it was time for something to eat – we were all starving. The first pub we went into was very oldy worldy, but the only table free was close to the facilities. It didn’t smell particularly pleasant either so we decided to up sticks and find somewhere else.
We eventually found a Marston’s pub … but it wasn’t really a Marstons and they wouldn’t accept my discount voucher!
Fed and watered, time to head home as Newcastle were playing this evening … and the match was on TV.
