More concrete today …
Wednesday 20th June
Sand laid on top of scalpings and they were getting ready to concrete over the base which would take us up to damp-proof course. They were also rebuilding the wall over the drain, with a little access port so the drain pipe could be accessed in case of problems.

Tuesday 19th June
New drain being fitted today. Part of the foundation wall had to be knocked down for it to be fitted! Full functionality of bathroom and kitchen would be resumed … for now!
Monday 18th June
The builders had unplugged the drain so we could use the dishwasher, washing machine and sink for the time being. New drain wasn’t being installed until later this week so this would flow onto the concrete until it soaked into the soil surround.
Prep work today on the base of the extensions and a layer of scalpings was levelled off. We also noticed that the new wall would be built exactly where the Sky cable fed through into the lounge. We knew the Sky dish would need moving so we would also need to move the cabling.
